Particularly: “If this is from 足, then the parallel in terms of initial to compare to is Viet. đục - M. Bi tuc - Chin. . In this case, it's less straightforward as there's no comparanda from Hmong-Mien and would also assume that this word was borrowed from a Sinitic form with 去 tone without final stop.”
