κρίμνον
Ancient Greek edit
Etymology edit
Unexplained. The connection with κρῖ (krî, “barley”) and κριθή (krithḗ, “barley”) is formally unwarranted and a derivation from κρίνω (krínō, “to separate”) does not seem preferable.
