Etymology edit

Either from Greek δράμι (drámi) or from Ottoman Turkish درهم (dirhem), both from Arabic دِرْهَم (dirham), from Middle Persian 𐭦𐭥𐭦𐭭 (zʿzn), from Ancient Greek δραχμή (drakhmḗ). For the sense of dram, from Armenian դրամ (dram), of the same origin.
