Verb edit

носи́ть (nosítʹimpf (perfective износи́ть or наноси́ть or сноси́ть or относи́ть)

  1. to carry, to bear (a burden)
  2. (of wind, water, etc.) to carry along, to drive
  3. to have something (e.g. a name, sideburns, a gun...)
  4. to wear (clothes or shoes)

Usage notes edit

Носить and its perfective counterpart, поноси́ть are abstract verbs. Its counterpart, нести́ is a concrete verb.
