Etymology 3 edit

According to Martirosyan, perhaps from ամպ (amp, sky) +‎ -ար (-ar). The word ամպ (amp, cloud) could have also meant “sky” and ամպար (ampar) would then basically mean “the heavenly one” or “heavenly”.
