Etymology 2
editFrom Azerbaijani böv, büvə, böyə. Doublet of պո̈ւ (pü, “ghost”) and պի (pi, “venomous spider”) in the dialects of Constantinople and Nor Nakhijevan, borrowed from other Turkic languages.
