Etymology edit

Inherited from Proto-Turkic *aġïrsuk,[1] probably from *iagïr (heavy), whence آغر (ağır, heavy).

آغرشاق (ağırşak)

  1. (in general) disk, any kind of thin, flat, circular plate or similar object
  2. weight plate, usually attached to tools in order to lower their barycenter
