From نَتَجَ (nataja, to proceed, to ensue). cf. نَتِيجَة (natīja, result) and أَنْتَجَ (ʔantaja, to produce).

  1. (transitive) to infer, to deduce, to conclude [with accusative ‘something’ and مِن (min) ‘from some source’]
  2. (intransitive) to draw a conclusion [with مِن (min) ‘from something’]
