بِإِذْنِ ٱللّٰهِ (bi-ʔiḏni llāhi)

  1. "If God permits", "by God's leave"; God willing.
    • 609–632 CE, Qur'an, 2:251:
      فَهَزَمُوهُم بِإِذْنِ اللّٰهِ وَقَتَلَ دَاوُودُ جَالُوتَ
      fa-hazamūhum bi-ʔiḏni llāhi wa-qatala dāwūdu jālūta
      So they defeated them by the will of God, and David killed Goliath
