    • 12th century, Ibn al-Balkhi, the Fârs-nâme:
      و این مهم که من پیش می‌گیرم لشکرها را با خویشتن نخواهم بردن جز اندکی.
      va in mohemm ke man piš mi-giram laškar-hâ-râ bâ xištan na-xâham bordan joz andak-i.
