Borrowed from Classical Persian تأکید (ta'kīd), from Arabic تَأْكِيد (taʔkīd). Compare Gujarati તાકીદ (tākīd), Kannada ತಾಕೀತು (tākītu), Punjabi ਤਾਕੀਦ (tākīd) / تاکید (tāked), Malayalam താക്കീത് (tākkītŭ).
