      अन्येद्युष्कः प्रतिदिनं दिनं हित्वा तृतीयकः ।
      दिनद्वयं यो विश्रम्य प्रत्येति स चतुर्थकः ॥
      anyedyuṣkaḥ pratidinaṃ dinaṃ hitvā tṛtīyakaḥ.
      dinadvayaṃ yo viśramya pratyeti sa caturthakaḥ.
      The quotidian fever recurs every day, the tertian fever with an interval of a day, and that is quartan fever which recurs with an intervals of two days.
