  1. to move, turn, wander
    • c. 1000 – 1100, Abdur Rahman, Sandeśa-Rāsaka 3.168:
      तिलु भालयलि तुरक्कि तिलक्किवि
      कुंकुमि चंदणि तणु चच्चंकिवि ।
      सोरंडहिं करि लियति फिरंतिहि
      दिव्व-मनोहरु गेउ गिरंतिहि ॥१६८॥
      tilu bhālayali turakki tilakkivi
      kuṃkumi caṃdaṇi taṇu caccaṃkivi.
      soraṃḍahiṃ kari liyati phiraṃtihi
      divva-manoharu geu giraṃtihi.168.
      With their foreheads smeared with a bright tilak,
      their bodies smeared with kumkum and sandalwood,
      the women, holding sorandak in their hands,
      are moving around singing divinely beautiful songs.
