Inherited from Prakrit 𑀩𑀸𑀳𑀺𑀭 (bāhira), from Sanskrit बहिर् (bahir). Cognate to Assamese বাহিৰ (bahir), Marathi बाहेर (bāher), Hindi बाहर (bāhar), Urdu باہر (baahar). Original, h-preserving form of বাইর (bair) and adverbial original h-preserving form of বাইরে (baire).
