editInherited from Old Gujarati उलखिवउं (ulakhivaüṃ), from Prakrit 𑀉𑀯𑀮𑀓𑁆𑀔𑁂𑀇 (uvalakkhei), from Sanskrit उपलक्षयति (upalakṣayati). Cognate with Marathi ओळखणे (oḷakhṇe) and Odia ଉଲାଖିବା (ulākhibā).
