Cognate with Kui (India) ବୂରି (būri, “hair, fur”), Kuvi ବୂର୍କ (būrko, “hair, fur”), Kolami బూర్ (būr, “hair”), Gondi బూర (būra, “feather”) and Brahui پُٹ (puṭ, “hair, down”). (This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium.)
