Borrowed from Dutch adjunct, from Middle Dutch adjoinct, from Latin adiunctus, perfect passive participle of adiungō (join to), from ad + iungō (join). Doublet of ꦲꦗꦸꦤ꧀ (ajun) and ꦲꦗꦸꦁ (ajung).
