Related to Standard Korean 여덟 (yeodeol).

1. Pyongan, Northern Jeolla, Hamgyong, North Korea, and Russia form of 여덟 (yeodeol, “eight”).
   • 2014 January 17, 인문공감, “석학인문강좌 제8강 한국어 대방언의 양상 [seokhaginmun'gangjwa je8gang - han'gugeo daebang'eonui yangsang]”, in 인문학 현장 [inmunhak hyeonjang]‎^[1], 평안북도 의주시 [pyeong'anbukdo uijusi]:

     나 야덟살 라서두, 아주 멀 몰랐디오, 뭐.

     Na yadeolsal -raseo-du, aju meol mollat-di-o, mwo.

     Even though I was eight years old, I didn't really know about it.

Usage notes

Also seems to be used by speakers from Kaesong and Southern Hwanghae just as often as the standard 여덟 (yeodeol) (Interview with Oh Cheongsong - 6:00 mark) though a similar form, 야들 (yadeul) seemed to have been used originally.
