First attested in the Neung'eomgyeong eonhae (楞嚴經諺解 / 능엄경언해), 1461, as Middle Korean ᄒᆡᇰ〯혀〮 (Yale: hǒynghyé). From 행(幸) (haeng) + (yeo).
