๐Œฐ๐Œฒ๐Œน๐ƒ

Gothic edit

Etymology edit

From Proto-Germanic *agaz. The -i- in the second syllable is the result of morphological levelling with the oblique forms, as the word was originally a consonant stem (the genitive, for example, being *agiziz).
