Disputed. Guus Kroonen proposes a metathesis of earlier *๐Œน๐…๐Œถ๐Œน๐ƒ (*iwzis) with the -z- (resulting from Verner's law) imported from ๐Œฟ๐Œฝ๐ƒ๐Œน๐ƒ (unsis).[1]
