Etymology edit

New Latin, Named after P. A. D. Grimont, French microbiologist. Coined in 2003 in a paper proposing Vibrio hollisae be reclassified as Grimontia hollisae, placing the species in a new genus due to its genetic difference from other Vibrio species.
