IHC (countable and uncountable, plural IHCs)

  1. (uncountable) Initialism of immunohistochemistry.
  2. (countable) Initialism of Indian Head cent.
    • 2007 November 4, S. Miller, “IHC Doubling Question”, in rec.collecting.coins[1] (Usenet), retrieved 2023-01-03:
I have an 1872 Indian Head Cent that appears to have either doubling in the lettering of AMERICA and several letters of UNITED STATES, or maybe it's been repunched. The coin grades a VG+, and although I have other IHC in my collection, most are G to Fair, so they don't have enough detail showing in the lettering.
