- Certain unicellular terrestrial green algae, including that causing watermelon snow
- (archaic) A taxonomic genus within the family Protococcaceae. [from 1824]
- A taxonomic genus within the family Chlamydomonadaceae.

- The validity of the genus is highly uncertain.
