editFrom Proto-Tocharian *käryā- (whence also Tocharian A kri (“will”)), from Proto-Indo-European *kṛd(i)yeh₂-, from *ḱḗr. Cognate with English heart, Old Irish cride, Latin cor, and Lithuanian širdis.
Only attested in the plural, käryāñ.

editThe usual Tocharian B word for heart is arañce; *käryā- appears to be an archaism attested in only one passage.
