@Atitarev, Wikitiki89 Is this word really uncountable when meaning "wimp, brat"? Benwing2 (talk) 21:49, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I've never heard this expression, but I suppose it's possible (but unlikely) that it's collective and thus uncountable. Where did you find that this word is uncountable? --WikiTiki89 21:53, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
It's marked as singular-only on this page. Benwing2 (talk) 22:16, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes, but you're the one who added that. I meant where did you find it when you added it? --WikiTiki89 22:18, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Didn't realize I added it. It looks like it comes from Zaliznyak, where it says 2*b— for this meaning, where — normally means "no plural". Benwing2 (talk) 22:43, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Zaliznyak also says it's feminine in this meaning, when I'd expect masc/fem. Benwing2 (talk) 22:44, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Could you possibly quote the whole entry Zaliznyak gives for this sense? --WikiTiki89 22:54, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
It says жо 2*b— (о ничтожном человеке). Benwing2 (talk) 23:08, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
сопля can be used as a swearword but it seems to be always singular, not collective. Zaliznyak must be right. There are also сопляк (m) and соплячка (f), which have both sg and pl.--Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 00:31, 23 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
So what you're saying is that it is simply never used for more than one person? --WikiTiki89 16:02, 25 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
