Variant Character

There is a variant of this character with the two strokes on the caozitou not crossing below the heng stroke- here's an example from the grave of a missionary who died in 1720 (bottom of column 3 from the left): [1]--Geographyinitiative (talk) 09:07, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
