zhèng? edit

I remember having problems remembering whether to read this character as zhèng or zhēng, and sometimes when I have that type of problem it points to me having heard a variant pronunciation in daily life. Then just now, when I listened to the sentence "55年前的法中建交是法中两国独立自主精神的象征。" in the clip here [1] at about 1:04, I was flabbergasted to hear the broadcaster use what seems like 'zhèng' to read the character 徵. If anyone has any other evidence that this is a variant pronunciation for this character on some level, then it might be worthwhile to consider adding it on this page or the 象徵 page. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 00:37, 28 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
