Talk:Cymraeg

I removed this from the category 'Nationalities' because 'Cymraeg' means 'Welsh' as in the language, and never refers to nationality. That's the related word Cymreig. YngNghymru 01:57, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

yn Gymraeg edit

I removed the usage note that said " 'In Welsh' is translated as yn Gymraeg, using the soft mutation rather than the nasal, as a contraction of yn y Gymraeg", because it seems unlikely. I think yn Gymraeg is likely to be the adverb-forming yn followed by the adjective Cymraeg, thus meaning literally "Welshly". This is parallel to how Latin forms adverbs meaning "in X language": anglicē (in English), cambricē (in Welsh), latīnē (in Latin), etc., with the adverbial suffix . —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 14:42, 28 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
