Lots of these translations seem to be for "Khmer language" and should be converted to just "Khmer". Mglovesfun (talk) 10:18, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- But the meaning for the words in that table is "Khmer language", and many languages need to include their word for language in the word for a language. If you remove the word for language, you change the meaning. Just glancing over the table, I didn’t see anything wrong. —Stephen (Talk) 10:37, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Says a lot, as I removed quite of lot of seemingly bad translations. Mglovesfun (talk) 10:46, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- I had only looked at the ones that still included the word for language. When I went back and looked at the ones without the word for language, some of them require it. For instance, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Malay always say the word for language when speaking of the language. Otherwise it means something else. In a few cases such as German, Russian, and Greek, it could go either way. If there is enough context, or in certain phrases and environments, the word for language is not needed in German, Russian or Greek, but it is still common in these languages to expressly mention the word language where English would not. Cleaned up. —Stephen (Talk) 04:39, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
