English translation of non-English quote

edit

My apologies, I added a quote for "Aitá" in Spanish, but was unable to satifsy the prompt asking for an English translation ("She tried to open the door and couldn't. Dad, she said.") Any suggestions for how to enter such translations? Feel free to enter the text in my place. Subsidiary problem: My example has an accent on the final vowel, unlike the headword. I decline to judge whether this justifies a separate page, lacking expertise on actual usage. Cavallerodelfebo (talk) 12:43, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Cavallerodelfebo: the correct parameter to use is |t= or |translation=. As for the accent, searching Google Books for "mi aita" turns up only the unaccented form for Spanish. I checked DRAE, but they don't have it- with or without the accent. Their coverage of regionalisms isn't that good, anyway, since the Academy's role is to be arbiters of pure Castillian Spanish.
