RFV-failed edit

The verb "benote" meaning "use" or "consume", said to be from Middle English benoten (to make use of), from Old English benotian (to use, consume), equivalent to be- +‎ note (see note; cognate with German benutzen (to use)) appears to be Middle-English only. It has been removed from this English entry as RFV-failed. - -sche (discuss) 20:02, 1 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

RFV of etymology 1. Given how difficult it was to find modern English citations of note, I wonder if this is Middle-English-only. - -sche (discuss) 22:36, 23 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
