Possible missing maths/physics sense edit

Uses in mathematics and theoretical physics should be added. In particular, adjectival use: "guage invariant", "gauge theory", etc. (is this an adjective?)

I can't easily write a short definition. — This comment was unsigned.

WP at gauge theory says, "The term gauge refers to any specific mathematical formalism to regulate redundant degrees of freedom in the Lagrangian of a physical system." Is that the same as our existing mathematical sense here (a "semi-norm")? Equinox 15:54, 30 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
