German. Rfv-sense: "synonym of mehrstündig" (lasting several hours). This seems to be an obvious error but I thought I'd better check in case I've missed some quirky idiomatic usage of this word in this sense. Voltaigne (talk) 15:36, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
- Looks like an error. Never heard of neunstündig meaning anything but just that (= 'lasting nine hours'). –Austronesier (talk) 17:07, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
- There is an ancient concept of “nine” being a large multiple, such as described under Proto-Slavic *devęsilъ, but I do not ascribe such insights to the creator of this entry SemperBlotto—I suppose that he read mehrstündig under “Oberbegriffe” in the German Wiktionary and thus erroneously added a hypernym. Therefore I close this as resolved. Of course if anyone can cite this he can add it, but this is unlikely to happen, and would rather concerningly remind us of certain IPs who added some nonsense number meanings with Biblical reference (→ Talk:77 times, Talk:quater).
