Could rotten be related to the German word for to redden?

Definitely not. It's related to the German word for "to rot", though, which is verrotten.

Terrible

Can also mean "terrible" or "sick", e.g. "I feel rotten today." Tooironic 12:58, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
