RFV-failed. Obviously very difficult to search for, but given that (a) OED has not a single cite, (b) Cockeram was known for entering Anglicised Latin words into his dictionary without evidence of actual use in English, (c) the sense is semantically not in alignment with the way we use the verb serve in English, and (d) there are no results in EEBO, I am satisfied to fail this.
