Chambers 1908 also defines this word as "the supreme evil spirit of the voodoos", which doesn't seem to be covered here. @Widsith, familiar at all? Equinox ◑ 23:44, 2 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Yeah it used to be used sometimes to mean a general "voodoo spirit" or similar. I'll try and find some citations when I get back to my bookshelves later. Ƿidsiþ 07:02, 3 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
