- (obsolete) A taxonomic class within the kingdom Plantae – a polyphyletic taxon comprising all tetrandrous plants (those having four stamens in each flower).
Usage notes edit
This taxon was erected by Carl Linnaeus as an aid in classification, but was not intended to represent a natural grouping.
