[[T:etymtree]] vs [[T:desctree]]

Never mind; I figured it out. The former has a central data page, while the latter is for transclusion.

{{etymtree}} is old and should no longer be used, {{desctree}} is its replacement. The latter is meant to avoid the deficiency of {{etymtree}} that a separate page has to be created and maintained, which causes problems for people wishing to keep watch of changes to descendants.
