実態 edit

And if you're using jdict as your only source, please check against another; jdict has errors and it appears this is one. [2] Cynewulf 15:29, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

No worries. Thanks for your comprehensive coverage of names, we've had almost none of them so far. Before you go adding a bunch of new words, the hidx= parameter on Japanese templates is for indexing only; it does not appear in the page. Its value is the same as the hira= parameter, with any voicing marks removed from the first kana (じ->し, ぱ->は) and either an apostrophe at the end (if the first kana was じ,ぎ, etc) or two (if ぱ,ぴ, etc). This makes the wiki software sort the Japanese categories the same way a Japanese dictionary would, with 実態 just after 失態 rather than having all the じ words in their own subsection separate from the し words. Also, we use macrons in romaji, following Hepburn: ō rather than ou, ū rather than uu, but ei is ei. You can enter these with the dropdown box below "save page". Finally, our Japanese-specific formatting document is at WT:AJA. Cynewulf 02:23, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Japanese female given name edit

  • Hi! 4RM0 :) I am curiously looking on your contributions of Japanese female given names.

yes, I've heard of some names in the contributions. though, the most of them are unfamiliar to me. and I feel some names don't follow Japanese given name sound policy. So,I'd like to know the source origin of those names you contibuted, if you may. (see Category:Japanese female given names) THX :) --Carl Daniels 20:08, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
