@Jberkel, Quadcont, Ungoliant MMDCCLXIV, Daniel Carrero: I have created this collection of entries missing a Portuguese section used in Portuguese literature. It reveals that we're missing a bunch of really common words, probably because people haven't been using corpora to find missing Portuguese entries. If you guys would help me work on this, that would be great! —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 07:19, 21 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

I think a lot of missing words are obscured through the fact that there are many Spanish (or Galician) homographs. Happy to help, but is there any way to get this list ordered by frequency? How did you generate it? – Jberkel (talk) 11:26, 21 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Meta. I’ll work on this list at the speed my routine allows. — Ungoliant (falai) 11:59, 21 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the help. I generate these lists from n pages of literary corpus (this is from Saramago), which process is unfortunately not particularly automated and involves a fair bit of manual work. Anyway, looking for orangelinks helps to remove the obscuration, and improves our Portuguese section a lot. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 17:42, 21 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the offer, but I don't really do Portuguese. --Quadcont (talk) 11:54, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Obviously, the best way to fill in many is to get a Portuguese bot for the missing forms, like what User:DTLHS does with Spanish. --Quadcont (talk) 11:55, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
All our Portuguese entries are handmade and individually numbered. Well, almost. – Jberkel (talk) 20:20, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
That’s right. Not at all like those Spanish entries, which are mass-produced in Chinese sweat-shops by enslaved Vietnamese midget fruitbats. Glory to Portuguese! — Ungoliant (falai) 23:48, 23 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Esco edit

@Metaknowledge, do you remember where you got esco from? — Ungoliant (falai) 16:54, 30 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

It's all from Saramago, I think. Errors are possible, considering the method I used, so if something doesn't appear to be citeable, feel free to remove it. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 16:59, 30 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
