I believe User:Vininn126 reverted my edits by accident

edit

Hi Vininn126,
I believe you have reverted my edits in the pages Kiev, Kievan Rus, and creeper by mistake.

  1. Calling the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, by the Russian name “Kiev” admittedly does not fit in the criteria for being an obsolete term which is what I labeled it as, however it definitely fits for either “Archaic” or “Unfashionable/Dated”. According to Wiktionary:Obsolete and archaic terms:

Obsolete: No longer in use; found only in very old texts. Can also apply to a no longer understood definition of a word. Examples: perdifoil, "to pay" definition of yield. Virtually no one would currently use the word or meaning, and very, very few would understand the word or meaning if it were used in speech or text.
Archaic: No longer in general use, but still found in some contemporary texts (e.g. the Bible). Examples: thou (singular second-person subject; "you"), œconomy. Generally understood by educated people, but rarely used in current texts or speech.
Unfashionable/Dated: Still in use, but generally only by older people, and considered unfashionable or superseded, particularly by younger people. Examples: wireless (in sense "broadcast radio tuner"), groovy, gramophone, gay (in the senses of "bright", "happy" etc.)

Calling the capital of Ukraine “Kiev” or by the correct name “Kyiv” has as far as I know no any relation to the age so it better fits as archaic. However, I admit that calling it obsolete was not correct as most people would understand it’s meaning. It is rarely used but generally understood.
  2. Kyivan Rus, or like wikimedia sites for some reason like calling the Medieval State “Kievan Rus” was a Ukrainian state. This fact can be verified using the Internet Encyclopedia of Ukraine hosted by the University of Alberta. Let’s look on the article Kyivan Rus’:

The ancestors of the Ukrainians included the Polianians, Siverianians, Derevlianians, Dulibians, White Croatians, Ulychians, and Tivertsians. The proto-Russian Krivichians, Viatichians, and Radimichians and the proto-Belorussian Drehovichians also lived on the lands that eventually constituted Kyivan Rus’.

Just living on lands which eventually became parts of Kyivan Rus doesn’t make Kyivan Rus their predecessor. While writing that it’s “considered” the predecessor of Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia is technically correct, it promotes bias, and Soviet-era propaganda:

Because these theories did not correspond to the political objectives of the Soviet leadership, a panel of historians was commissioned in the 1930s by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union to draw up a new historical schema of Eastern Europe; its basic premise was that Kyivan Rus’ had been founded by a single old-Rus’ nationality, out of which Ukrainians, Russians, and Belarusians developed in the 14th and 15th centuries. This theory was given official approbation with the publication of Tezy pro 300-richchia vozz'iednannia Ukraïny z Rosiieiu, 1654–1954 (Theses about the 300th Anniversary of the Reunification of Ukraine with Russia, 1954)

I realize the need for a neutral point of view, however unfortunately the current state of the page is not neutral.
  3. Last, and in my opinion the least important is the page creeper. Creepers in Minecraft are so notable that there is an article in English Wikipedia about creepers that cites 27 sources. I feel that it’s notable enough however if you feel that it isn’t I entirely accept that.

@Vininn126, I wanted to send this to your user talk page but got banned for some reason. -Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava 123 (talk) 17:56, 28 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Why was I blocked?

edit

Also why was I blocked for “Abusing multiple accounts/block evasion”? Creating a new account and abandoning the old one is not against the policy, I’m not trying to hide the fact that User:Gifnk dlm 2020 is my old account, and I’m definitely not evading a ban as my previous account wasn’t banned on any wiki. -Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava 123 (talk) 17:55, 28 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Surjection, pinging the user who blocked me. I’m curious to know how you determined that I was abusing multiple accounts or evading a block. A simple usercheck will prove that I’m not. Also, I will appreciate it if you link to policy which supports me being blocked and if the topic was discussed prior to the ban, then also to the discussion. It is obvious that you are the same editor who has been doing low-quality edits here before and whose accounts were never blocked here solely because they were globally locked before that could ever happen. — SURJECTION / T / C / L / 19:16, 28 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Surjection, who is this editor and why is it “obvious”? My previous account is User:Gifnk dlm 2020 which was never blocked on any wiki neither locally nor globally. Feel free to submit a usercheck on me and whoever this user is to prove. -🇺🇦Слава🇺🇦Україні🇺🇦Героям🇺🇦Слава🇺🇦(talk)🇺🇦 19:25, 28 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
