I wish I could offer a good reason for this, but sadly, I cannot. I simply did not take the time to carefully consider my name when I initially signed up and I really desire a slightly more classy name. I've been considering requesting a change for some time, and with the current admin vote occurring, I figured that if this is to be done, it should be done now. If this is an inappropriate request, I'll quite understand. Also, if this change does, in fact, go through, I'll be sure to note it on the vote page. Thanks. Hi, I made this account after losing an account to which I don't even know the password or username anymore. But I didn't make it to be the same with the name under which I am always on the IRC chat. If I could get it changed to Neskaya, so that I have the same username on the IRC as I do here, it'd be appreciated. I would like to usurp this account for consistency's sake, as all of my Wikipedia accounts are under my name, and I look forward to contributing to Wiktionary. Note that at the top of this page it says that accounts with less than 250 edits will not be renamed without a good reason. I'm not a bureaucrat so cannot say whether this will be deemed a "good reason" or not, but be aware your request might be declined. Thryduulf 18:18, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

I do not oppose this change of name; matching up with your name on other WMF projects seems like a good reason for such a change in anticipation of Single User Logins. Nevertheless, since my activity in Wiktionary has been limited recently, I would be loath to exercise bureaucrat privileges immediately when someone has already objected to the change. I note too that you have made a similar request of other bureaucrats, any of whom can also respond. If there is no further response in the next week, I will be glad to accede to your request.
