User:Rising Sun for admin edit

  • Nomination: I hereby nominate Rising Sun (talkcontribs) as a local English Wiktionary Administrator. Here since 2008, I know the processes extremely well. I've wanted to delete many things on RFD, and i think people are annoyed when I ask them to clear up the [very rare] junk that my bot creates. 1.   SupportInternoob (DiscCont) 01:34, 4 June 2010 (UTC) As a fellow WF sock. I'm kinda surprised he wasn't already an admin.[reply]
  2.   Support Diego Grez 17:31, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  3.   Support Soleil levant 22:49, 4 June 2010 (UTC). And no, this doesn't count as sockpuppetry --Soleil levant 22:50, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose edit

  1.   Oppose Mglovesfun (talk) 21:58, 2 June 2010 (UTC). Wonderfool sock. No offense intended, but I was gonna nominate your for de-whitelisting after a few weeks of poor edits. Mglovesfun (talk) 21:58, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I thought I'd been cleared of Wonderfoolery ages ago. Sigh --Rising Sun talk? contributions 09:29, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What, apart from when you admitted it in an email and I forwarded it to two admins? Mglovesfun (talk) 22:10, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's total bullshit, Gloves. Anyone can forward fake emails. --Rising Sun talk? contributions 00:06, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  2.   Support per MG. --Bequw τ 03:41, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

    This is funny to me. — [ R·I·C ] opiaterein17:30, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  6.   Oppose EncycloPetey 00:23, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  7.   Oppose Equinox 22:13, 5 June 2010 (UTC) Fun to have around, but he makes joke edits rather too frequently and seems to like being abusive and divisive.[reply]
  8.   Oppose per joke edits, Wonderfool-like behaviour, and the fact that I honestly do not believe this user has the temperament to become an admin. We already have far too many who lack the appropriate maturity to understand how to behave and how to interact with other users, we don't need to add another. --Neskaya contribstalk? 23:42, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Decision edit

Retracted by nominator. There's obviously still lots of anti-Wonderfool sentiments. Of course this is Wonderfool's account. I wanted to be admin again, but I guess it won't happen this year. I'll leave you some bot scraps to chew over. See you next time. --Rising Sun talk? contributions 13:33, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a page where I can get informed about Wonderfool's story?--Diuturno 18:18, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Part of it is at [[w:Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Robdurbar]].—msh210 18:25, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
We have deleted his pages under each of his guises over the years. He’s been coming and going for at least six years now. He’s never gone for long, it’s just a matter of those of us who know him best recognizing him in his new identity. Sometimes he has multiple identities at once. —Stephen 18:35, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's really a wonderful story (and startling)! --Diuturno 19:22, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
