  • Of the alternative forms, anticommunist is most common, followed by anti-communist and anti-Communist.[1] In the 20th century, anti-Communist was most common.[1] Merriam-Webster lists all three variants[2] and so does Cambridge.[3] Collins only lists anti-Communist.[4]
  • As for spelling, compare antisocialist, antiliberal, antilibertarian and anticapitalist.
