bikeshare (plural bikeshares)

  1. A service by which bicycles are made available for shared use to individuals on a very short-term basis, allowing them to borrow a bicycle at one location and return it at another.

      Much remains to be done, but the bikeshare scheme – impossible with a helmet law – has contributed to a qualitative leap in the number of people commuting to work, school and activities by bicycle, in normal city clothing.
