  1. (pharmacology) A drug C24H25FO5S·½H2O that lowers blood sugar by reducing the reabsorption of glucose from the kidneys and is taken orally to treat type 2 diabetes. It is marketed under the trademark Invokana and when used in combination with metformin, under the trademark Invokamet.
