  1. An explosive cord, typically used as a fuse/primer to detonate explosive charges, or as a cutting agent to cut patterns explosively. The explosive cord is a small flexible plastic tube filled with explosive in a flexible binder, typically pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN) (pentrite explosives).
