1. (historical) A medieval dance similar to the estampie
   • 2007, Piero Weiss, Music in the Western World, page 55:

     In the other refrain forms he mentions (the instrumental ductia and stantipes, both varieties of the dance genre known as estampie), the refrain is musically distinct from the so-called puncta.
