Noun
editgeamikoj (accusative geamikojn)
- (plural only, dated) friends, including both female(s) and male(s)
- 1906 July, “Kroniko”, in The British Esperantist, volume 2, number 19, page 75:
- En la somero ni esperas babiladi kun niaj Manĉestraj geamikoj ĉe ekskursoj.
- In the summer we waited to chat with our Manchester friends on the trips.
Usage notes
editDated construction by writers who understood amiko as a masculine noun. Since amiko is gender-neutral now, the ge- prefix is superfluous, unless one wishes to emphasize that a group of friends includes both females and males.
